How to warm up

Brrr it got cold here! Saturday I was being stubborn and didn’t want to turn on the heat. So I baked a bunch of oatmeal cookies to warm up the house. Then I broke down and turned on the heat anyway. The animals were really happy about that. There were cats draped over floor registers all over the house. Now I’ve got too many cookies in my house. That’s a terrible problem, I know. These have chocolate chips, white chocolate chips and walnuts in ‘em. I don’t hate raisins, but I prefer not to have them in my oatmeal cookies. Not sure why that is.

They look fantastic. :) Must do those too. Wouldn’t mind having the recipe! ;)

I’d quite easily take some of those cookies off your hands. They’re my favorite food group at the moment!

@jeni & diana, it’s the chewy oatmeal cookie recipe in The King Arthur Flour Cookie Companion, veganized. btw, i highly recommend any King Arthur cookbook. even though i have to veganize a lot of the recipes, they still work beautifully.

careful, steph, i might take you up on that. i made way too many. i think kevin might cry if i got rid of them though. :-)

Kevin doesn’t have to know. ;) Then again, last night my mum and I made 2 vegan Christmas Puddings, so I have more dried fruit on my hands than I know what to do with. I see more cookies in my near future.

Mmm. Those look great. I don’t like raisins in my cookies either.
