Best use of a bottle nose

If you’re my dog, Tak, what do you do when your mama comes home with a stuffed bottle nose dolphin toy for you? Why you suck on that bottle nose, of course! BTW, best place to get dog toys is the thrift store. I mean, it’s eventually going to get destroyed anyway, so why not pay less than $2 for it?

Ada vs. Jack, Round 1

I don’t know if this even counts as a round since Jack is clearly not even trying. Biting him in the junk sure seemed to liven things up a bit though…

Fighting like, uh, cats & dogs

So this is the fate I sent one of the male kittens off to. I know it doesn’t appear so in this particular photo, but he actually enjoys this. My role this weekend is zoo keeper. Four cats and two dogs. It’s been interesting. Tak hates Ada, the chihuahua. I think she’s mostly jealous, but she’s been growling in a mean and nasty way, not her usual play growling. Girl kitten is joining Jack (kitten Jack, not Jack with the giant head) in playing with Ada. Grover is having none of Ada or Jack growling and hissing at both constantly. Possum has been throwing around her share of hissing and growling too, but she’s actually bigger than Ada so I think she feels a bit superior. Hopefully the drama will die down a bit. Oh, and Jack is such a little fat ass! I hope he’s just going through a stage, because he’s definitely barrel shaped. He may be using that extra flesh as protection against Ada until he outgrows her. Boy is she going to be in trouble then.

Bits & Pieces

I came home Tuesday to find girl kitten (Yes, I still have her. Do you want dis kat?) had somehow gotten herself stuck in my tall kitchen garbage can. Who knows how long she was there but she was really happy to get out.
Sal “Big Pussy” Bonpensiero just isn’t doing it for me as boy kitty’s name. I knew another name would come to me and it did today. When I pick him up, his limbs all just kind of dangle. This reminds me of Grover for some reason. So, Grover it is.
Speaking of Grover, he’s huge! Seriously, check out the size of his feet. This cat is just now 4 months old, and his feet are bigger than his mama’s.
Shuffleboard is fun even when you suck at it.
If you’re veg*n and stuck in Sandy Springs, World Peace Cafe will take care of you. Our vegan lunch group hit it last Saturday and everyone enjoyed their food. I had the tofu scramble which was nice. Not too much nutritional yeast and greened up with broccoli florets. Oh, and I’ll say the magic word: dessert. They have vegan dessert.
It had better mother fucking snow this winter after the hell we’ve endured this month.
Took the peanut butter cupcakes from Vegan Cupcakes Take Over the World to a potluck and they went over well. Next time I’ll use half the molasses. It was too strong for my taste with the called for amount.
Why is my dog whining?

Bye Kitteh #1

So Thursday the first kitten left the nest and went to his new home. He will now spend the rest of his days as a chew toy for a chihuahua named Ada. Tak prepared him well for his new role. Although Tak hasn’t so much been chewing on the kittens as she has been bouncing around them a lot. And sometimes chasing them. And often times she is the victim of kitteh pounce. I was surprised that none of the other cats have missed the little guy. I think Possum’s just as happy to be down a kitten. It’s one less head she has to bunny kick to keep from trying to nurse. She won’t let them get a hold of nipples at all anymore.

This week, mama Possum and Big Pussy are getting fixed. Possum has been coming in and out of heat the last three weeks so I’ll be glad when that’s done. Although she really hasn’t been all that loud or annoying about it. I mainly just don’t want her to escape the house and get knocked up.
