The falafel salad I made a while back with the Trader Joe’s frozen falafel balls was totally inspired by the falafel salad you can get at Ali Baba’s in Little Five Points. Greens, tabouli and more covered in chopped up falafel balls, tahini sauce (ask for it instead of yogurt to make it vegan) and hot sauce. If you get the platter, you can choose a side. This time I got dolmas.

Trader Joe’s Chicken-Less Mandarin Orange Morsels
Every once in a while, new vegan products show up at Trader Joe’s. Recently there were the falafel balls. And the latest find was these Chicken-less Mandarin Orange Morsels. Yes, more lazy food!
So, I made some brown rice and steamed up some frozen Trader Joe’s mixed vegetables and baked up the nuggets. Pretty lazy! And really tasty! The chickeny bits had a nice texture and the orange sauce was good. It seems like more and more lazy food is happening these days…
A simple meal
Gutenfleisher’s black forest ham slices on a biscuit with a side of steamed broccoli.
Games and good eats
No biggie. Just another evening of playing Cards Against Humanity and eating delicious food. Lasagna, kale salad and vegan ham & cheese sandwich pockets. And that purple drank? It’s just a violet fizz. So tasty.
Oh yeah, and Steph made samoa cupcakes. So decadent!
Creamy all-in-one bowl
When I’m scanning recipes in Hearty Vegan Meals for Monster Appetites, I tend to get visions of buying even fatter pants and possibly investing in a rag on a stick.
But the Creamy All-In-One Bowl didn’t look too terribly waist expanding, so I gave it a go. Tofu, broccoli and pineapple in a creamy peanut butter dressing over brown rice. Look, bonus fruit serving! And it was really good. The dressing had a nice tang.
