i have a serious brain disease. please bring me a cat.
This weekend I…
Went to Shul.
Made pancakes.
Bought a vacuum. Yes, I’ve been one year without, but only one small room is carpeted. Do need it for two area rugs and furniture though.
Bought two book cases and a TV table from Ikea, put them together (I’m big!) and rearranged my living room. It seems much more usable and friendly now.
Ate lunch/dinner at Soul Vegetarian. Considering it was two meals I felt perfectly justified in pigging out.
Wacked about half my weed before I ran out of twine.
Trimmed my front yard bushes and some of the back hard before I got tired of holding the damn hedge trimmer.
Made pile of yard debris by the curb for the nice men to come by and pick up later in the week.
Made a pasta dish.
Watched Short Cuts. If you like Raymond Carver’s short stories, this captured the spirit of his characters well.
Went to Madras Saravana Bhavan for yummy Indian food. Had one of my standards, Sambar Vadai, lentil donut floating in tangy Sambar soup. I also tried something new, Bhel Puri, which was puffed rice, small potato chunks, raw onion, fried peanuts, and, er, other stuff, in a kind of sweet, light sauce.
Got groceries.
Got more twine and finished whacking yard.
Read.
Vacuumed.
Took possession of Jack, Matt’s dog, for a few days.
